Our prayer this week:  Give us today, O God, a glad heart and a clear conscience, that when we come to this day’s end we may rest in peace with Christ our Lord. Amen.

Praying for our village:  Thank you for continuing to pray.  This week we pray for the residents of: Station Road, Stenbury View, The Glade, Wallis Close, West Street, Worsley Drive, Yarborough Road.

Please pray for Revd Alison Morley being licensed as Priest-in-Charge of the parishes of Brading, St Helen’s, Seaview and Yaverland this afternoon at 4.00pm at St Mary’s Church, Brading.

Church Hall:  Although we are still awaiting the Insurer’s ‘go ahead’ for the necessary work following the frozen burst water pipe, we have been told that we may now use the hall again.
So, we have two events re-starting this week: -

Music and Poetry Appreciation Night: This will be held in the church hall on Wednesday 18th April at 7.00pm.  Bring your favourite poem with you which may be read out (by you or someone else) and perhaps learn more about other favourites in music and poetry.  £1.50 to include tea or coffee and biscuits.

Lunch Place: Yes, we’re up and running again!  This week’s menu is Chicken pie, new potatoes and vegetables or Cottage pie and vegetables.  Dessert is a choice of Sticky toffee pudding with cream or ice cream or Fruit pavlova.  Tea or coffee to round off the meal and all for £6.00.  Please list your preferences on the sign-up sheet at the back of church today or by Wednesday afternoon.  Do let others know that Lunch Place is happening again!

PCC:  There will be a meeting of the PCC on Monday 16th April 2018 at 7.30pm in the church hall.  If anyone has anything they would like to raise at this meeting please see Janet Blackmore so that it might go on the agenda.
